I recently changed my room with some little, easy details. I had the polka dot framed cork board for a while and just pinned pictures on it with some thumbnails. That starts to look cluttered very easily. So I just used some twine I had and cut a piece a little longer than the width of the cork board. I tied a bow to each end and pinned it to the cork board at the center of the bow. Then, I just took some mini clothes pins and clipped a few pictures or any other keepsake you might have (like my corsage) to it.

I had been looking for some flowers for a while. I loveee real ones but they don’t last. And all of the ones I’ve seen at Hobby Lobby are super long which I know you can cut the stems but I just can’t picture them looking good short. So when I saw the pink peonies from World Market that went perfectly with my light pink comforter I had to get them. I don’t like the look of fake flowers but these look pretty close to real and they’re already in a bunch together (you can pull them apart if you want). I’m really into the vintage look like on Fixer Upper right now. I absolutely love that show too. Like I’ve seen all of the episodes three or four times haha! Their new season starts in December thank goodness! You have to check it out if you haven’t seen it. It’s the perfect southern style and Chip and Joanna are hilarious.

Hope you found something to try at your house! Love ya’ll!

*You could even paint the inside of your mason jar to match the color of your room…I plan on doing that with mine but just haven’t gotten around to it yet!

Fall Wedding

DRESS: Delia’s / / SHOESSteve Madden / /

Hope you’re having a great Tuesday! I am in love with this black dress! It has tulle underneath to make it have that full skirt look and I just feel like a princess wearing a dress this fancy. Fall/winter weddings are kinda tricky knowing what to wear. Black and dark colored dresses are my go to. I got this to wear to a Halloween wedding which worked perfectly with the black and gold theme.

I recently got my hair cut so it’s not this long anymore. I loved it that length if I ever actually curled it. My hair is naturally straight. I air dry it and, except for putting some Chi silk infusion in it while it’s damp, I don’t do anything to it. For weddings I love curling my hair and adding a simple braid to it. My hair won’t stay curly all night so having a braid on one side adds more to it when my curls start to fall out. I like front, side dutch braids pulled back and pinned with the rest of my hair left down. Thanks for reading, love you all!

It’s like overnight the leaves finally started to change colors, and they’re gorgeous! I have to say Tennessee definitely has the best fall season when it comes to all of the trees changing color. I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet but I’m already ready for Christmas…it’s like I’ve worn out all of these fun fall things and I’m ready to move on to the next holiday haha!

If there’s one thing you’re going to see a lot of this fall and even winter it will be the scarf and booties I’m wearing here. They are my favorites right now. I don’t know if it’s because they go together perfectly or what. It just makes me feel put together when the top of my outfit matches with the bottom haha! Does anyone else feel that way? I guess it’s kind of like matching your shoes to your outfit. I don’t really care for dark colors and just want bright colors in every season so adding a neutral colored scarf and shoes kind of tone down my light pink dress that would have looked like it was meant for spring. Oh and about the booties…I’d recommend getting one with a low heel since you’ll probably wear them more that way. I have a pair that have a 3 inch heel which is still not that high but they just don’t work for everyday like the ones I have on in the picture. I think those are like a 2 inch heel.

I went to a pumpkin patch with my kindergarten class for a field trip and it was a lot of fun. The kids got to pet and feed little baby goats. They are the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Then, they each got to pick out a small pumpkin and put it in their bag to take home. It was the sweetest thing to see them all excited about their own little pumpkin. I can’t wait to have my own baby because I know it’s going to be even sweeter to see their reactions. Don’t get me wrong they have their not so sweet moments but for the field trip they did pretty well. I hope everyone has a great week and Thanksgiving is only three and half weeks away!!!
